Sofie: So long and thanks for the memories..

Sofie left behind her aged body on Wednesday, March 26th, 2008 to go on to chase butterflies in that great field in the sky. She was my parents dog, 15 years old and one of the best sofa cuddlers in existence. We’ll miss ya Sofie!

The freakiest/coolest non-dog dog that I’ve ever seen.

DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) otherwise known as that government agency that works on really cool new tech recently released this video of their “Big Dog” quadraped robot that will ultimately be used for, well.. lord knows what. But something cool I bet. Anyway, if you’re interested in seeing what kind of lifelike behavior that can functionally be integrated into a robot, have a peek!

Hot drink made from spices and herbs with honey or sugar. It was purchased in general only in Moscow in crowded places. Sbiten is considered Russian national winter beverage.

5 l water
800 g berry jam
200 g honey
2 g ginger
2 g cloves
1 g cinnamon

———

Bring water to boil, add honey and jam. 5 minutes after add spices to the water and cook for 5 minutes. Serve hot.
