16 oz. French Bread (cut into 18 slices)
3 oz. & 8 oz. cream cheese (about 11 oz.) (cut into 1/4 inch slices)
12 eggs
2 cups milk
1/3 cup maple syrup
dash of cinnamon

Place 9 pieces of bread (in a single layer) in lightly greased 9 x 13 dish, top with cream cheese & remaining bread. Beat eggs milk & syrup, and pour over bread.
Cover & chill for 8 hours.
Remove from refrigerator and let stand at room temp for 30 minutes.
Bake at 350o for 45 minutes (cover with foil after 20 minutes).
Makes 4 servings.

Stuffed French Toast
Florentine Chicken Ring
1 can (10 oz.) chunk white chicken, drained and flaked
½ cup red bell pepper, chopped
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained
1 cup (4 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1 tsp. lemon zest
½ tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
2 pkgs. (8 oz. each) refrigerated crescent rolls

Preheat oven to 375o. In large bowl flake chicken with pastry blender. Add red pepper, spinach, cheese, mayonnaise, lemon zest, salt and nutmeg; mix well. Unroll crescent dough; separate into 16 triangles. Arrange triangles in a circle on round baking stone with wide ends of the triangles overlapping in the center and points toward the outside. (There should be a 5 inch diameter opening in the center.) Scoop chicken mixture evenly onto widest end of each triangle. Bring outside points of triangles up over filling and tuck under wide ends of dough at center of ring. Bake 20-25 minutes or until deep golden brown.
Makes 8 servings.
Egg and Cheese Bake
6 eggs
1 c. milk
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. cottage cheese
1/8 tsp. seasoned salt
1 cube butter, cut in sm. pieces
1 lb. Jack cheese, cubed
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, cut up
Seasoned pepper
Parsley & green onions for garnish
13 x 9 inch glass baking dish

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large mixing bowl beat eggs and milk. Continue to beat in flour, baking powder, cottage cheese and salt until well blended.
Evenly dot or distribute butter, cheese and cream cheese over bottom of baking dish.
Pour eggs and milk mixture over butter and cheese. Sprinkle lightly with seasoned pepper.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, or until mixture is set and is somewhat brown on top. Serve warm and garnish if desired with chopped parsley and green onions.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
