Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream

01 Jan

Brought to us by John

1 1/2 cup whole milk
3/4 cup sugar
dash of salt
1/2 cup half and half
1/4 cup whipping cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
———
This recipe assumes that you have a pre-chilled ice cream mixer. Combine the whole milk, sugar and salt in a bowl, whisk until the sugar is dissolved. Add the half and half, whipping crème and vanilla to the bowl, stir gently and then pour the mixture into your already running ice cream mixer.
After 20-30 minutes, the mixture should be the consistency of Ice Cream. Add to a bowl and freeze for 2-3 hours to solidify it a bit before serving.
Serves 4-8.
