I like the site! I wanted to point out something that you might be interested in for your photo gallery. Check out Gallery2 (http://gallery.menalto.com/) then you can combine that with WPG2 (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wpg2/). Together they make hosting your own pictures as easy (if not easier) than a flickr based gallery.
