Coconut~Date Goodies

1 cup sugar
1 to 1 ½ cups chopped dates
½ stick margarine
1 to 2 well-beaten eggs
½ to 1 cup chopped nuts
2 cups Rice Krispies
1 tsp. vanilla
1 can flaked coconut

Cook sugar, dates, margarine and egg, stirring constantly until mixture is thick.
Cool; add nuts, Rice Krispies and vanilla. Stir well. Roll into small balls and roll in coconut.
Makes 12 balls.
