Frosty Strawberry Squares

Cake
1 cup sifted flour
¼ cup brown sugar
½ cup butter, melted
½ cup chopped walnuts

Topping
2 cups sliced strawberries, and 2/3-cup sugar
OR
1 10-ounce pkg. frozen strawberries partially thawed

2 egg whites, beaten
1-cup sugar
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 cup whipping cream whipped

Mix and spread cake ingredients in a shallow pan. (Use a different pan than what you will make the dessert in) Bake at 350o for 20 minutes until brown, stir occasionally while baking. Cool, and spread 2/3 of mixture in a 9 x 13 pan.
Combine beaten egg whites, sugar, berries, and lemon juice in large bowl, and beat at high speed for about 10 minutes, until it forms stiff peaks. Fold in whipped cream. Spoon over crumb mixture. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Freeze overnight. Serve Frozen.
