Dough
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking soda in 4 Tbs. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 beaten eggs
pinch of salt
5 cups sifted flour
Frosting
2 Tbs. butter
1/8 tsp. salt

Mix dough ingredients together and chill overnight.
Roll out, dip dough cutter in flour.
Bake at 350o for 8 minutes.
For the frosting, cream 2 Tbs. butter and 1/8 tsp. salt in a mixer.
Add alternately 2 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar, 1 egg white, 4 to 5 tsp. cream (milk).
Blend in tsp. vanilla and coloring.
(Double for 1 batch of cookies)
